Ainoa Aparicio Fenoll is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Economic-Social and Mathematical-Statistical Sciences at the University of Turin. She is also an Affiliate at the Collegio Carlo Alberto, CHILD, and IZA, as well as a LABORatorio R. Revelli Research Fellow. She serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Population Economics and Co-Editor of the BE Journal of Economic Analysis & Policy. She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics in 2010 from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her research interests include labor economics, education economics, migration, family economics, and applied econometrics.

PIETRO BIROLI
Pietro Biroli is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Bologna. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and subsequently worked as a researcher at the University of Zurich. His research focuses on education economics, health economics, and applied econometrics, with a particular interest in inequality.

PAOLA CARNOVALE
A professional in the performing arts, Paola Carnovale has always combined her vocation for the arts with a strong humanistic background. Over the course of her career, she has gained extensive managerial experience in the organization and coordination of educational and cultural projects. She collaborated for many years with the Department of Education of the Municipality of Novara, managing the “Teatro Ragazzi” festival dedicated to schools of all levels.

DALIT CONTINI
Dalit Contini is a Full Professor of Social Statistics in the Department of Economics and Statistics “Cognetti de Martiis” at the University of Turin. She earned her Ph.D. in Statistical Sciences from the University of Padua. Her research focuses on social mobility, educational inequalities, higher education and labor market outcomes, the role of school system characteristics, and impact evaluation of social and educational policies. She is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Association for Population Studies.

MARINA DELLA GIUSTA
Marina Della Giusta is a Full Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Statistics “Cognetti de Martiis” at the University of Turin, and an Affiliate of the Collegio Carlo Alberto. She is a Visiting Professor at the University of Reading and an IZA Fellow. She worked at the University of Reading from 2000 to 2022, where she served as Head of Department from 2013 to 2016. Her research lies in behavioral and labor economics, with a focus on gender, stigma, and social norms. She has published in international journals on the role of inequalities and social norms in education, paid and unpaid work, pensions, and the sex work market.

MARIA LAURA DI TOMMASO
Maria Laura Di Tommaso is Full Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics and Statistics “Cognetti de Martiis,” University of Turin. She is a Fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto and an Associate Researcher at the Frisch Center for Economic Research in Oslo. Previously, she worked at the University of Cambridge. Her research lies in applied microeconomics, feminist economics, and the economics of education.

FRANCESCA FERRARA
Francesca Ferrara is Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at the Department of Mathematics “Giuseppe Peano,” University of Turin. Her research focuses on embodiment and tool use in mathematical activity, assessment, and educational inequalities in mathematics. She was a member of the first Scientific Committee of the Italian Association for Research in Mathematics Education and currently serves on the Scientific Committee of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education.

Giulia Ferrari is currently a Researcher at the Department of Mathematics, University of Turin, where she obtained her PhD in Pure and Applied Mathematics in 2019. Her research focuses on mathematics education, particularly on embodiment, the use of representations and tools in mathematics learning, and gender gaps in mathematics.

Silvia Mendolia is a Researcher in Economics at the University of Turin. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales (Sydney, Australia) and an MSc in Economics from University College London. She has worked at the University of Wollongong and the University of Aberdeen and has been an IZA (Institute of Labor Economics) Research Fellow since 2012. Her research interests include health and education economics, with a focus on socio-economic inequalities and the relationship between health and labor markets.

Enrico Rettore is Full Professor of Econometrics at the University of Padua. He holds a PhD in Statistical Sciences from the same university. He is affiliated with IZA, GLO, CESifo, and FBK-IRVAPP. His research deals with micro-econometric methods, especially experimental and observational designs for the evaluation of public policy interventions.

Ornella Robutti is Full Professor of Mathematics Education at the Department of Mathematics “G. Peano,” University of Turin. She was a member of the CIIM Commission of the UMI. Laura Franchin, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science, University of Trento. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and conference contributions and collaborates with several research groups.
